COVID-19 Precautions
While the global public health emergency has ended, COVID-19 continues to circulate and infection continues to pose a serious risk to some people. The following guidelines aim to make PETS more inclusive of those at higher risk and help us all protect each other as we gather in Lausanne.
- If you are ill, are displaying symptoms of illness, have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or have been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days please stay home.
- If you develop symptoms while in Switzerland, do not come to the symposium venue or other symposium events.
- If possible, please test yourself for COVID-19 before leaving for PETS.
- You are encouraged to wear masks while indoors. At the very least, please respect others who are masked by masking up when interacting with them.
- Maintain distance when interacting with others. Avoid hugging or shaking hands without asking for explicit permission.
The following will be in place in Lausanne:
- Surgical masks will be available for everyone. FFP2 masks will be available on request (gc23@petsymposium.org, arrangements23@petsymposium.org).
- We will stream the sessions into ANT-2064 (track A), ANT-2013 (track B), and ANT-2055 (track C), where masks are required. The workshops will be streamed in ANT-2055.
- There will be outdoor spaces at all breaks and receptions. (Note that the dining tables at the gala dinner will be inside.)
